Our two very special guests were welcomed to raise our new flags at Curraglass NS. Laura Hayes of St.Catherine’s and Cork Camogie fame raised our Active School Flag. This was awarded to the school following the team effort of Ms. Furlong and her Active School Committee. Laura’s Grandmother, Anne Hayes, past staff member of many years, who educated the Children of Curraglass prior to the introduction of Green Schools Awards raised our 3rd Green Flag for Water Conservation along with the Green Schools Committee. This was in celebration of the work lead by Ms. Frisby and her very green committee! The special day was complete when the ice cream van arrived with treats for all!
